No Sneaking In

Revelation 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
As a member of the local college’s wellness center, I enjoy going over there and playing soccer with the college students. In order to get into the gym they require that you have an ID card. However, if you catch either the right person or come in with a group, a person who has forgotten or temporarily lost their card can sneak in. However, at the beginning of the year they have new people who are all pumped about following the rules. There is no sneaking in at this point.
As Christians, we might try to get cute with our ideas about heaven and think that we would be able to sneak in. On the day of judgment we think that we can just sneak in with our good friends or maybe some people from our church. While security may get lax at a local college, we will have no luck on the day of judgment. It would be foolish to count on it.
The only way for us to enter into heaven is for our names to be in the book of life. Each person will be examined individually for the deeds they have preformed in their own life. Which brings us to the question: will the deeds we are doing now have our names in the book of life or not? Have we truly repented and chosen to follow Him? If not, we will not be able to sneak in. There will be no heaven for those whose names are not in the book of life.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

What inspiring thoughts! There will surely be no sneaking into Heaven. Our goal should be to live by His will so we have a hope of seeing Heaven. Thank you!
